Financial Assistance
In light of current economic circumstances, there is an increased interest in financial aid opportunities at The Independent School. Our school is aware of the financial sacrifices many of our families make to afford tuition and other related fees and we welcome the opportunity to work with you to address your affordability concerns.
FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting the financial need analysis for The Independent School for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year. Each year, FACTS, part of Nelnet Business Solutions, helps approximately 5,000 private K-12 institutions and more than one million families achieve their education goals.
Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment for priority consideration by April 1, 2010. Applicants can apply online beginning today at www.factstuitionaid.com. Paper applications are also available in the TIS admissions office.
The following information is required in order for FACTS to process your application:
- Completed online application or signed and completed paper application.
- Payment of the $25 application fee to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment.
- Copies of your 2009 tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.
- Copies of your 2009 W-2 form for both you and your spouse.
- Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF.
